- The Original Onsen:
- Exclusive indoor pool room, change area, shower and towels
- One complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage
- Choice of one snack (Whittaker's chocolate bar, Pure ice cream or hand cooked crisps)
- Evening bookings only - Japanese lanterns surround the pool
- The Outdoor Onsen:
- Exclusive outdoor pool room, change area, shower and towels
- One complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage
- Choice of one snack (Whittaker's chocolate bar, pure ice cream or hand cooked crisps)
- Evening bookings only - Japanese lanterns surround the pool
- Step away from the actioned packed Queenstown and enter Onsen Hot Pools where you can relax, rejuvenate and unwind in an exclusive pool whether that be inside or out. Gaze over the Shotover River, towering mountain ranges and lush natural flora for 60 minutes. The Onsen Hot Pools will comfortably accommodate individuals, couples or groups of three to four
- Enjoy the convenience of a return shuttle transfer from a central Queenstown location, or simply self-drive with free parking included
- For the Original Onsen, the room will be fully enclosed. Once you are settled comfortably into your pool, the front retractable glass window and roof opens and will offer spectacular views
- The Outdoor Onsen is partially separated by planting and covered with a shade sail to offer some protection from the elements
- Lanterns will be placed around the pools for sessions after 5pm, the lanterns offer a gentle background light and enhance the stargazing experience. Please select this option upon booking
- The Outdoor Onsen is open 9am - 10pm , each Child (5-11yrs) 9am - 4:30pm
- The Original Onsen is open 9am - 10pm, each Child (5-11yrs) 9am - 4:30pm
- Bookings are taken on the hour for customers wishing to receive a transfer
- Self-drive bookings will be at half-past the hour
- Please arrive at the pools 30 minutes prior your scheduled bathing time
- 1 hour including time to change and shower
- Onsen Hot Pool is located at 160 Arthurs Point Road, Arthurs Point, Queenstown, New Zealand
- The on request shuttle service departs and returns outside of the Station Building, corner of Camp St and Shotover St, in central Queenstown. Hourly pick-up/drop-off from The Station. Pick-up at 30 minutes to the hour
- Children under 12yrs are not permitted for evening sessions (after 5pm)
- One room can accommodate up to 4 people (e.g. 2 adults + 2 children, 3 adults + 1 child). If you have selected the "4 Adults" option, "Per Child" option cannot be added on
- The water held within the pools is vastly rainwater, collected from our roof-tops as well as spring water from a spring on-site. Any shortfall is substituted from Lake Wakatipu water. The water is replaced constantly throughout the day in order to keep the water as fresh as possible and is constantly circulates through a sand filter to trap suspended particles
- The mineral content of the pool water is very low so jewellery should not be affected. However, it is recommended to remove jewellery to avoid losing items in the pool
- If you wish to cancel a booking please provide at least 48 hours’ notice
- We require 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled booking time to cancel or reschedule.
- Clients must arrive 15 mins. prior to their booking time.
- 24 hours’ notice of cancellation or rescheduling required
- We have a 72-hour rescheduling/cancellation policy for all group bookings (3 or more pools). Agents who cancel or reschedule their booking within 72 hours of the appointed booking time, or if guests fail to arrive for their booking the agent will be charged 100% of the price of the booking
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
- Availability was accurate at the time of booking however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control

Beautiful private pools overlooking a stunning river!! Its a super relaxed experience to do with a partner and quote romantic. It's very expensive however so be prepared and book early as it was super hard to get a date last minute!

Onsen Hot Pools was amazing
Onsen Hot Pools was amazing. Staff were friendly. Views were beautiful. The hot pools were incredible. So nice and relaxing!

This has to be the most relaxing activity you could do when visiting Queenstown
This has to be the most relaxing activity you could do when visiting Queenstown. It was amazing in winter, I can only assume further into winter with more snow it would be even more beautiful. You overlook the mountains in an extremely private room. The water is a perfect temperature and you have the option to add drinks to your package at the pools themselves. The hour I purchased was more than enough relaxation time, though you can get longer periods. The staff were great and friendly. I would definitely return on my next trip over.
